Needs Map is a social cooperative that connects people in need to individuals, institutions and organizations willing to provide their support.
Needs Map was established in 2015 as a non-profit organization with the legal status of Social Cooperative. It facilitates cooperation and solidarity in fields such as education, health, culture and arts through proven map technology and community-based verification function.
Needs Map spots and assess needs from individuals, educational institutions and nongovernmental organizations and facilitates peer- to-peer match thanks to its map-based technology.
Since 2015, the Needs Map platform has been used by more than 110 thousand members, more than 350 NGOs, 70 private sector organizations, and representatives of hundreds of public institutions; 9.88 million unmet “needs” were successfully met through the platform, a sharing economy equivalent to approximately approx. 50 million USD. Needs Map is a volunteer-based solidarity platform that match thousands of people in need with supporters with a people infrastructure made by only ten. It also ensures the good practice of contactless delivery, without using warehouses or stores. Needs map stand as an effective, user-friendly, and socially beneficial platform in the circular economy.
