A graduate in Policy Analysis, Paolo strongly believes in the idea that everything around us can be a vehicle for impact. He has always been passionate about social entrepreneurship, and after an experience in political communication he joined zeroCO2, a startup that aims to combat social injustice around the world through reforestation. Teamwork, scouting and acting have been key components for him, having taught him the beauty of curiosity and emotional connections, values he cultivates within himself every day.
Starlin is the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer at Ecodudu, an aspiring leader in the waste-to-value industry for the provision of alternative protein and organic fertilizer. Starlin leads the production team and works closely with the research and development group to streamline production systems. She is passionate about empowerment of youth and women in business, particularly within the agricultural sector.
In 2017, Starlin and Adin (her co-founder) were named the Environmental Entrepreneurs of the year by the BMCE Bank of Africa through the African Entrepreneurship Award. In 2019, she was also a Go-Gettaz Agripreneur Prize Finalist with Generation Africa. Starlin is a practicing Medical Doctor having earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from Kenyatta University in December 2020.
Giulia Mascadri, anthropologist and fundraising consultant who leads non-profit organizations and schools in the management of sustainability processes, sharing and promoting the culture of donation and community involvement. Researcher in applied anthropology and research fellow at the University of Turin for innovation projects in inland Alpine areas, she’s also a teacher in primary school. La foto è in allegato.
With a background in humanities, and a specialization in applied ethics obtained at the Ruhr Universität Bochum, Cecilia gained experience in human rights advocacy during an internship with OIDEL, a Geneva-based NGO promoting freedom of education. After two years working for a consulting firm in Barcelona, she decided to pursue her passion for environmental issues and embark on a career within ClimatePartner Italia, where she currently works as a Commercial Sustainability Manager. Cecilia holds the position of Advisor for Filantropia Attiva Italiana Fund, supporting initiatives that generate positive social impact, following the interest matured through the scout movement and various volunteering experiences.
Adan is the co-founder and CEO at Ecodudu Ltd. He leads the engineering team at Ecodudu to develop systems that will revolutionize the farm operation processes and increase farm productivity and efficiency. This entails designing, evaluating, and integrating solutions into current systems to automate various farm operations. He has previously worked in the animal feeds sector at Ruiru Feeds for two years. Thereafter, he began his own animal feeds distribution business. Adan has received the Kenya National Innovation Award in 2016 and the Environmental Entrepreneur of the year by the BMCE Bank of Africa through the African Entrepreneurship Award in 2017. Adan holds a Bsc. in Engineering from Kenyatta University and a Bsc. in Business Administration and Management from The University of London.
Advisor to the Minister of sustainable infrastructures and mobility, focusing mainly on cities, urban policy, and sustainability.
After experiences in BCG, Amazon and the European Commission, I co-founded a startup in the ecommerce sector and two NGOs focused on bringing about social impact in the public sector through innovative practices and education. One of these, Officine Italia, promotes the first fellowship project in Italy where young professionals support key Ministries for their Next Generation EU programs, while the other aims to build a bridge between prisons and the job market through training of current and former inmates.
The common thread of my professional experience has been that of transforming organizations and society by bringing in a new approach at the crossroads of sustainability, finance, strategic design, activism, and collaboration.
Mexican by birth and graduated in Economics and Finance from ITAM, in Mexico City.
Alejandro has pursued his career in the field of entrepreneurship in sustainable tourism, management, and restructuring of SMEs in the manufacturing and health field, as well as experience in investment banking. Passionate about finding solutions to social and economic problems, he is now part of the Opes Italia team, an impact investment fund that supports growing Italian companies with social impact.
Always looking to connect people with different perspectives, Alejandro has an MBA in Sustainability from HEC Paris, investment studies at the London School of Economics and has collaborated with organizations pursuing social impact from a business perspective in Belgium, Myanmar, and Laos.
