De Agostini Foundation was born in March 2007 in Novara. Firmly rooted in the territory where the De Agostini Group has been present since 1908, the Foundation mainly pursues purposes of social utility to give concrete answers to the needs expressed by the weakest categories.
Roberto Drago is the Honorary President, Chiara Boroli holds the position of President, and Marcella Drago is the Secretary-General.
De Agostini Foundation is active in four main areas: disability, education and training, social inclusion, and emergencies.
The choice of these fields, in which the Foundation has the aim to develop its spirit of service, represent an authentic vocation and an attitude born from a company philosophy orientated towards human being, with profound attention to the various needs of the territory and the aim of giving back to the community part of the added value generated by the entrepreneurial activities of the De Agostini Group.
The Foundation operates mainly in Italy and is oriented in supporting projects and initiatives that can be replicated in different areas and locations, trying to promote and strengthen the projects’ sustainability that can continue independently after the initial start-up phase.
Mitigate the suffering and discomfort of the weakest people or those affected by severe misfortunes, promote education, training, and integration into the labor market to enhance personal growth and the reception of the most disadvantaged, are some of the objectives that the De Agostini Foundation has been pursuing since 2007 through about 311 social responsibility projects and 22 million euros disbursed.
De Agostini Foundation has been a member of Assifero since 2021. With its registration at RUNTS (National Single Register of the Third Sector) it is officially a Philanthropic Entity of the Third Sector. In 2023 it published its first Social Responsibility Report covering the year 2022.
