Fondazione CRT- Cassa di Risparmio di Torino is a private non-profit organisation founded in 1991. For 27 years, it has been one of the “engines” of development and growth in Piedmont and the Aosta Valley in three main areas: Art and Culture, Research & Education, Welfare and Territory. It implements projects and resources in the promotion of the arts and cultural activities, the promotion of scientific research and training for young people, support for innovation and social entrepreneurship, assistance to people in need, the preservation of the environment, and the civil protection and first response systems.
The Foundation’s activities are characterized by a particular attention paid to the international dimension, with the dual aim of strengthening local non-profit organizations through the opening to Europe and to the world and, at the same time, attracting new projects and resources to the area.
In a quarter of a century of activity, Fondazione CRT has distributed resources for 1.6 billion euros which has permitted the realisation of more than 39,000 interventions for the territory, supporting them not only in terms of grants, but also projects: throughout it all, listening to the needs of the territory itself and institutional and non-profit organisations.
Fondazione CRT, on September 30, 2017, made the revival possible of the OGR in Turin: a place of contemporaneity and innovation which, with the opening of the Officine Sud, will become a real international innovation hub for research, the acceleration of innovative start-ups, and project development in the field of Big Data and creative industries.
